Gay Community and Health Links

	ACON. The AIDS Council of New South Wales. ACON is a health promotion organisation based in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities with a central focus on HIV/AIDS.
	AVP. Anti-Violence Project. Anyone who is or has exerienced violence, or knows someone who is, should check this site.
	Another Closet. Domestic violence in gay and lesbian relationships.
	Why Test? (whytest.org).  Information on STIs (sexually transmitted diseases), treatment and outcomes.
Sexual Health Clinics. Free and confidential testing. You can get a sexual health check up from your GP or at a sexual health centre. Sexual health centres (or clinics) offer free and confidential STI (including HIV) testing, treatment and information. Specialist medical, nursing, counselling and interpreter services are also available. You don’t need your Medicare card.
